The Canopy Walkway
Around 300 metres of suspended walkway, 26 metres above the forest floor — the closest most humans ever get to living in the canopy.
What it is
The Canopy Walkway, properly done
Around 300 metres of suspended walkway, 26 metres above the forest floor — the closest most humans ever get to living in the canopy. You cross at hornbill height, eye to eye with gibbons, giant squirrels and the epiphyte gardens that never touch the ground.
What you'll see
Rhinoceros and other hornbills commuting at dawn, gibbons in the emergents, mixed feeding flocks, and — on a fortunate morning — an orangutan moving through the crowns below you.
Best time & conditions
First light is unbeatable: the mist burns off around you and the forest wakes at eye level. Late afternoon is quieter and kinder for photography of the walkway itself.
