Step by step
The route, honestly described
1. Finish your river cruises. A final dawn cruise from Sukau or Bilit, breakfast, then check out — the wildlife-viewing done, the walking about to begin.
2. Drive south to Lahad Datu. Overland from the river down to Lahad Datu; a scenic half-to-full day through plantation and forest edge.
3. Transfer into Danum. Your lodge collects at Lahad Datu for the 2–2.5-hour drive in. Full detail on the Lahad Datu route page.
Remember the conservation area's entry conditions — travel insurance including emergency evacuation is required, and forest walks are guide-accompanied.
