The Sabah honeymoon itinerary
The shape of a Sabah honeymoon is always a progression from the forest to the sea. You fly into the east coast to begin the rainforest half. You spend 3 or 4 nights under the canopy of Danum Valley before heading to Semporna and the islands . You spend 4 or 5
nights diving or snorkelling and then you fly out. You start with the humidity of the jungle while your energy is high. Then you have the ocean to cool down. For diving, follow the safety rules . If you dive, allow 24 hours between your last dive and your flight.

The distances in Sabah mean you have to plan the connections carefully. You keep the same guide for the terrestrial part of your trip and then hand over to the dive team on the coast.
